National Police Museum
Established in 1991, National Police Museum is located at the CBI headquarters in CGO Complex. It is an interesting museum for all those who are curious to know how police work, investigate crimes, and keep vigilance. The museum has some very fascinating exhibits on display related to serious crimes and their investigation. A frisson of surprise would shoot through the visitors seeing the seized articles, rare photographs, forged documents and intriguing objects of national and international significance. Stimulating your thoughts, while some displays are acquired from state police organizations, there are exhibits belonging to central police organizations of Indian as well as foreign origin.
The visitors are further informed about the old and latest technology used by the different police departments of state and center organizations and scientific aids used by the forensic science laboratories and central and state finger print bureau. In this technology driven world, the museum communicates the challenges faced by the police in combating crimes and criminal prosecution. Interesting case studies, copies of historic FIRs, arms and many more such things are displayed for curious minds.
